A little about me

I’m Dr. Stephanie Farnsworth, a Lecturer in Media and Communications at the University of Sunderland. My thesis focused upon the intersection of biopolitics and monster studies, using the video game series Mass Effect as a case study to examine representation of different types of bodies.

I am a co-founder of the academic network MultiPlay which supports a multidisciplinary approach to games studies and digital play. I act as co-Chair and lead MultiPlay’s editorial board.
